I hate laundry!
I swear it never ends! This last week I have really considered throwing away all our clothes and moving to a nudist community! I don’t mind actually washing the laundry, but I just can’t stand the folding and putting away!
So here’s a few tips, tricks, and I guess you could say goals for keeping up on the laundry and saving a little money.
1. Any item of clothing that isn’t visibly dirty, try to rewear at least once. This would cut the amount laundry almost in half! Not to mention save a little energy and $$$.
2. Have a basket/hamper in each bedroom and teach kids how to use it so that clean clothes do not get mixed with the dirty.
3. Only start a load if you have the time to finish it. (Around here we often start a load and forget about it, which results in that yucky smell! Then you just have to rewash. What a waste!)
4. If possible do your laundry during off peak hours to cut down on energy costs.
5. Sort and separate, wash on cold whenever possible and use less than the recommended amount of detergent.
My biggest goal is to set aside some time that I can spend taking clothes straight from the dryer, hanging, folding and putting aways.(One load at a time.) Before they pile up on my couch for a week and we all have to dig to find something to wear each day.

Great tips! I do take the dress shirts my dh wears to work right from the dryer to the closet ,that way no wrinkles !

the big thing that I do also is no more than 2 loads a day. I’d rather do a load a day and get it done than 4 or 5 and feel like it’s never finished

I also try to re-wear clothes, if possible. Why make more work?
